I notice that in the narrower signal spectrun the two tone peaks have
the same amplitude.
Many of us have wondered why our watt meters diddled like the RTTY tones.
Hopefully that is fixed too.

To answer my own question, the problem was in T1. I didn't look at it in

The sub button is already too multifunction. Anything that could be
done to have it default to two selections would be appreciated.
Unlike others, I use link without diversity quite often. So having a
button to control this is a need for me.

It sounds like a set of dirty relay contacts or a bad joint. I've had

the KPA-500 so it is impossible to determine if there are pullup
resistors or not.
Glad that Elecraft firmware recognizes that if the band is undefined, RF

I calibrate my K3 clock to the computer every couple of weeks and it is never
more than 15 seconds off or so. This has been addressed before on the list
serve. Hope this helps.

The first rule in troubleshooting is to unplug everything that isn't
absolutely necessary to the equipment being diagnosed.
In this case all that would be needed is power, ant/dummy load and the K3.
Then start plugging things in until you find the offending device.

That's the guy but not the program. SKIMSCAN is for jumping from band to
band on a single frequency.
Contact him directly to get the program.
I asked him if he could mod it to scan several frequencies in a single
band-- definable for each band. He came up with IBSS.

the PITCH audio FX on the KX3.
Has it ever been proposed to include this PITCH option as an AFX on the K3?
I've been using DELAY (simulated stereo) on the K3 since, like, forever...but
the PITCH afx on the KX3 I have
I basically ignore the filter switches and use the WIDTH control,
setting it to what's needed at the time. The narrow roofing filter
automagically kicks in at 400 Hz and below.

The formula T=1200/W gives the dot length for a given WPM (W)
At 40 wpm, one dot is 30 ms.

Last weekend was the first time I really had some time to hook up my KX3 and
work some stuff.
