Pete, Here is the link for the KSYN3A synthesizer installation instructions. Robert Strickland via Elecraft writes: > When I send an email to this list, the "from" field prints my name and > "via Elecraft" together in the from/correspondents column. What am I > doing to get the "via Elecraft" and what do I do to get rid of it so > that just my name appears? I am using Thunderbird as a mail client on > a W10-64 machine. Thanks in advance. tl;dr: The world is broken and the only thing that you can do is to move from yahoo to a provider whose addresses you see on the list without this munging. A few things come together: - Mailinglists resend messages, normally with the From: field unchanged. - As part of spamfighting, mail senders often add digital signatures (DKIM) so that recipients can tell a message was sent by the domain in From: - Mailinglists add subject tags and footers. I view this as a bug because it breaks signatures, and delivers a message From: someone with content they didn't send -- but I'm odd, it's very common and many think this is ok. (People can sort/filter on List-Id: header.) - Some domains publish a policy that says "if the messages fails DKIM and it didn't come from my servers, reject it." yahoo/aol/verizon.net (all the same thing now) is one of those domains. This is called "DMARC reject" and fairly few places do it. - Therefore, messages to lists from DMARC reject places experience one of: * if there is no subject tag, no footer, and no From: munging: DKIM is intact and all is ok * if there is modification then the redistributed message fails DKIM and hence DMARC * If there is modification and the From: line is rewritten to be from the list, so that the original sender's domain is not looked up for DMARC rules, it is delivered. But it is broken, because "reply" which should send a message to the sender, sends to the list, risking publishing private correspondence. - There is Authenticated Receive Chain which might be a way out, but it might just be too complicated. So solutions are: - move your email to a provider which does not publish a DMARC reject policy. It's a good idea to move away from yahoo anyway, because their inbound spam filtering is broken and unfixable, in my experience (their customers could not get mail from me to land in their INBOX despite trying pretty hard, and their support could not/would not explain why). - configure mailinglists to 1) not add subject tags 2) not add footers and 3) not do From: rewriting. I recommend doing both, but both are easier said than done. (As an addendum, the list blocks messages with OpenPGP signatures.) 73 de n1dam __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] help with mailing list
For me, it depends on whether the message was also sent to me directly. Your initial message included the "from Elecraft" notation since I received it only through the mailing list, but your reply to me didn't include it since you sent it to me and the mailing list. I'm using Gmail, but if your email client works similarly, you should generally see the notation only on messages where you haven't yet replied. 73, Julie On Tue, Jun 14, 2022, 16:06 Robert Strickland wrote: > Julia... > > If so, why doesn't everyone have similar notation? > > ...robert > > On 6/14/2022 19:56, Julia Tuttle wrote: > > The list adds it, and you can't remove it. > > > > On Tue, Jun 14, 2022, 13:28 Robert Strickland via Elecraft > > mailto:elecraft@mailman.qth.net>> wrote: > > > > When I send an email to this list, the "from" field prints my name > and > > "via Elecraft" together in the from/correspondents column. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
I do apologize for contributing to this off-topic thread... A technical issue for cable modems is the uplink. For downlink, the cable modem system uses one or more "TV channels to sends its data on. There is encoding and all that but the signal isn't un-like a TV channel. The uplink is where the problem lies. Cable modems typically use low frequencies (up to 50 MHz or so) to transmit their packets from the enduser modem to the headend. You'd need a channel bandwith of 8 MHz or so. Where does a cable operator find a clean 8MHz channel under 50 MHz? Keep in mind that the ingress signal (from the enduser to the headend) collects all the RF leakages from the environment. All poor cabling together creates a massive reception antenna. And a single strong carrier in the channel may block it. I had a chance to see the upstream spectrum ("ingress signals") and it was not a pretty sight. I know that one local cable operator had to change channels because in the evening, strong shortwave broadcast signals leaking in were blocking the ingress channel of the cable-TV modems. For this reason, the ingress system, in the DOCSYS system I looked at, was using direct-sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) to "smear" these carriers over the spectrum and reduce their impact. Now, consider very strong carriers on the ingress. Carriers so strong that the conversion gain of the DSSS system doesn't help enough. In that case, the ingress channel is still fully blocked despite the DSSS measures. What impact things a lot, of course, is leakly cabling. And from what I hear, American cable-TV systems have lots of leakage issues (here in PA0, cable systems are underground and are shielded very, very well; any leakage here is typically poor enduser cabling). While the response of the tech is very wrong, perhaps the above explains a bit what is happening and the reason for his reaction. If it were me, I would see if things can be solved along these lines, considering that from what I read in QST, many USA cable-TV systems have a massive, massive leaking problem. In the Netherlands, more and more spectrum is being moved from "broadcast TV" / cable-TV to mobile services. Cable-TV signals are now on frequencies that are also used by mobile phone users, with transmitters (handies) on short distance and hence strong signals. Suddenly the jammers are not us pesky hamradio guys, but every person carrying a mobile phone. And the community now understands that the proper fix for this is not banishing the mobiles, but better cabling. For cable-TV, there are now "kabelkeur" (www.kabelkeur.nl) qualified cables that have double shielding, and, more important, good connectors, connectors that frankly put the typical hamradio RF connector to shame. And I wonder how this compares to the situation of the topic starter. With emotions running high we won't get anywhere, but I hope the local ARRL community can step in, find out if my hypothesis is the root issue and work from there, considering that proper shielding is a CATV operator issue and no-one else's. 73, Geert Jan PE1HZG __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Up here (suburban Portland) I did lots of research on features, service and reliability before settling on the Comcast bundle of internet, voice phone, and Xfinity cable. Living in an already-wired apartment I didn't have much of a choice. I was fortunate enough to talk the management into letting me put up my VHF/UHF j-poles - I didn't want to press my luck by having more wire/cable run in. I had (where did I put it?) the direct phone number of the regional service manager but fortunately never had to use it. In my case my DX-20 had not yet been on the air when the neighbor across the street complained about me wiping out his stereo system just after my Dad helped me put up a 40m vertical up on the roof. After the neighbor found out I did not even have my transmitter he stopped complaining. Word got out ( my Dad?) and no one in the neighborhood ever complained again. 73, Tom W7SUA ( former WN7SUA) On 10/20/2021 1:29 PM, Wayne Burdick wrote: When I fired up my first transmitter as a novice (a DX-20!), little did I know it was leaking into a break in the coax cable in the attic. We had satellite several years ago, and had frequent outages - especially in the Spring - due to severe weather, sometimes far away, but in line with the satellites. We first switched to AT DSL and it was OK 15 years ago. Eventually we went with Comcast/Xfinity cable, and have had virtually non-stop service for at least 10 - 12 years. They own the cable biz in Chicagoland, and outages are at a fraction of 1%. Most notably occurring only when they have upgraded service (like installing fiber). I currently have 235 Mbps down, and about 20 up for ~$80/mo. We get the bulk of our TV OTA (85 broadcast stations) plus occasional streaming ... but our main cable use is Internet. 73 Lyn, W0LEN -Original Message- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Jim Brown Sent: Thursday, October 21, 2021 3:52 PM To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Elecraft] HELP! Grounded the cable to my system ground (the existing cable ground was a joke) …put some ferrites on the cable near the modem. as a precaution put the modem in a copper screened box for testing… Reset cured - … with proper grounding and ferrites…. You are Federally regulated, and so is the Cable company… so any issues are likely their plant or the gear attached to their plant…..(ie cable modems with improper bypassing or disconnecte drop lines etc... My girlfriend has a setup like this in rural NH. Cricket Wireless will sell you a whopping 100 GB data on AT's network for just $55 a month. We get about 15 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up with 50ms latency (to speedtest.net's servers), although of course that will vary based on AT's local network. She's got a fancy industrial/weatherproof modem; I can find out the model if you're interested. 73, Julie On Thu, Oct 21, 2021, 12:09 Alan Bloom wrote: > > On 10/21/2021 9:43 AM, Drew AF2Z wrote: > > Dump Comcast at the soonest opportunity. > > There may be more options than you realize that avoid having to deal > with the cable company and have no potential for interference to/from > the amateur station. > > I recently bought a house here (near St. George Utah). Yeah...normally it takes a 4-hour series of phone calls, half of them involving screaming invective, closing a bank account, and getting a credit card replaced just to get RID of a Comcast/Xfinity account. I know, I had to do it when we switched to Verizon FIOS the day it became available at our location. If you have any other option besides them, do yourself the favor of signing up with that other option. Xfinity is horrible, and even though I had to threaten lawsuits in perpetuity to get shut of them, they still send us junk mail over a decade later. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73, Gwen, NG3P On Wed, Oct 20, 2021 at 8:42 PM AB2E Darrell wrote: > Eric, > I'm skeptical. My bet is you have a rogue tech who couldn't find the problem and decided to blame you. He greatly exceeded his authority and as soon as a higher-up hears what happened, this will be reversed. Besides, since we know you aren't the problem, the problem is still there and his "solution" will be proven wrong. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
Circa 1958: Neighbor and TV Repairman came to my parent's door ... "Your son's ham radio is interfering with my TV. Dad: "Our son has been away at college for 2 years and his radio equipment is packed up in the closet." Long pause ... then TV guy, "Well his wire antenna is still up there and it's between my customer and Mt. Wilson, and it's sucking all the signal out of the air." Dad: "I'll ask him to take it down next time he comes home." That didn't happen 'til maybe another year, I had a full time job at the local TV station at college and didn't get home very often. I did finally take it down, neighbor's TV still didn't work well, and he still blamed me. -- 73, Fred ["Skip"] K6DGW Sparks NV DM09dn Washoe County Kris Mraz wrote on 10/20/2021 6:23 PM: When I put my tower up 25 yrs ago my next door neighbor complained of interference. Eric, I'm skeptical. Did you receive anything in writing or see a letter from Comcast stating this? It sounds more like the Comcast tech taking it on himself to say you are being banned. I would call their customer service and check the status of your account, get something in writing if it's true, then contact your state authority that regulates telecoms, and file a complaint. I've never heard of anyone being banned as a customer by Comcast. 73 Darrell AB2E From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net on behalf of Kevin Cozens Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2021 3:54 PM To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Elecraft] HELP! Ask them for a list of the dates, times, and durations of some of the area wide outages and compare that information against your log book to see if there is any correlation. It is very likely there are other hams in your area. It could be someone else causing the problem who may not be an Xfinity customer. If any ham radio, or other radio transmissions, are causing their systems problems it shows they haven't properly protected their equipment from stray RF and/or they have a problem with an installation somewhere. -- Cheers! I guess hooking up the KPA500 right to your Xfinity Coax and doing automated FT8 on 20M would not be the best thing to do. :) Sorry, I couldn't resist. And, seriously, if it was me, I would head to the main local office if you can. find the manager or owner and request him to show the data that proves what is going on. Don't be afraid to ask him if he is guessing or does he have empirical evidence. Take some technical help with you if you need it and be professional. I would also say, you have no proof as my internet works fine even when I transmit. Come over and watch for yourself. Also, is the lack of internet affecting your health and safety? Ask them if they wish to take the liability for that. Are there other ways you can go on the offensive? Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
This is rather interesting. Last year my local borough contacted me about my antenna support. It is 30 feet high and is my end support for my EFHW. I was asked when did I install the pipe? I said 15 years ago, why? I was promptly told that the boroughs 1.2 GHz comm link between the pump house and well head three miles up the road, was intermittent. I am in a valley compared to the well head and their link receiver. In that past year the electric company installed two tall towers for distribution lines a couple hundred yards between the well head and my QTH. I was the suspect, non the less. Turned out to be the antenna at the well head. When I fired up my first transmitter as a novice (a DX-20!), little did I know it was leaking into a break in the coax cable in the attic. I found out two days later when a ham I'd never met copied my callsign off his TV. He looked me up in the callbook (I was a few blocks from his place), introduced himself, and helped me find and repair the cable. I ended up with a clean signal and a great Elmer. But this is not the good ol' days, apparently. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
I had a ham friend who went through a similar situation with Charter - now Spectrum. He called the state's public service commission to lodge a complaint against Charter. Long story short, the public service commission sent a representative out in the field and they had the ham radio guy transmit while witnessing the "interference" in the neighborhood. They saw issues but not at the same time the transmitter was operating. Charter finally found 2 issues: a failing power supply on a network amp, and some terrible signal leakage on improperly terminated unused coax drops. Charter took the easy way out and blamed the ham as a CB operator operating at illegal power levels. Obviously they had no proof and ultimately had to fix their own problems. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
Sounds like the typical "I'm having trouble with X, and so-and-so has antennas, so it must be those antennas making X fail. They have to get rid of those antennas!" I second that there's no way that the antennas by themselves, with no signal being put through them, can somehow cause problems with a cable internet system. It's also ludicrous that, to fix the problems with, supposedly, antennas causing problems, they turn off the antenna owner's *internet*, even though, according to them, their internet is not the source of the problem. I'd start doing some full power contesting until they come out and explain why turning off your internet was a solution for antennas passively messing with CABLE internet. The only thing that should interfere with CABLE internet is a backhoe. This reminds me of the Florida case where a ham was told to stay off the air because a neighbor 3 doors down had problems with her insulin pump. So once again, "see antennas, blame antennas" is the default. This isn't TVI on VHF channel 2, guys. It doesn't work like that. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73, Gwen, NG3P On Wed, Oct 20, 2021 at 3:16 PM wrote: > > __ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Message delivered to ard...@gmail.com > __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Hi Eric, There is a reason that Xfinity is the most hated corporation in America. I had a similar problem with them. What all the other commenters are telling you is true; legally you are in the right. However, good luck on making your legal rights stick. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
Hi Eric, The problem is clearly in their system and/or customer-connected equipment. The most likely causes are 1) badly installed coax connectors; 2) customer-installed tap-offs; 3) Pin-One Problems in Comcast and/or customer-equipment; 4) modems and/or routers with poor RF rejection. I suggest you do three things. 1) Find an alternate internet provider, 2) get ARRL involved, and 3) operate at you highest practical power level as often as possible. 73, Jim K9YC 73On 10/20/2021 11:21 AM, eric norris via Elecraft wrote: Dear Gang: Xfinity, our internet provider, showed up at 7:30am this morning, to explain to the XYL that we were being cut off for good because my amateur radio activities had caused wide area outages. Ask them for a list of the dates, times, and durations of some of the area wide outages and compare that information against your log book to see if there is any correlation. It is very likely there are other hams in your area. It could be someone else causing the problem who may not be an Xfinity customer. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
First off, there is no way that your antennas alone can passively trash Xfinity's internet network. Whoever told you that is an idiot. Secondly, you could offer to do some testing with Xfinity in attendance to verify whether or not your transmissions were causing a problem. I have a small local wireless ISP that uses my tower to serve about 240 subscribers in the valley below my QTH, and about a year ago he started to see what looked to him like random problems with the routers on the tower. I suggested that we do some checks, and sure enough transmitting at high power on 10m caused his routers (one in particular) to burp. I hadn't operated much on 10m previously because of the solar cycle. He could stand there next to the tower and monitor the network with his cellphone. If a small one-man ISP can do that, Xfinity can. He checked his shielded CAT lines and all seemed to be solidly connected, so I suggested he was getting common mode interference on the shields and that he could put some clam shell ferrite cores (I suggested #31) on the lines near each box and antenna. He bought a bunch of them and that solved the problem. In my case, I have it written into our contract that my ham radio has priority over his gear, and I forced him to get my tower officially permitted for his commercial use of it, so the burden was on him anyway. 73, Dave AB7E On 10/20/2021 11:21 AM, eric norris via Elecraft wrote: Dear Gang: Xfinity, our internet provider, showed up at 7:30am this morning, to explain to the XYL that we were being cut off for good because my amateur radio activities had caused wide area outages. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
Yeah, I'm kinda surprised myself that they did anything on the ham bands at all; I would have expected them to stay out of anything that could interfere with us. For instance, I just logged into my Spectrum-provided cable modem and the closest they seem to get to the ham bands around here is 17.8MHz and 24.2MHz on the uplink. And considering where I live, I would have expected my operation to have interfered with someone's internet already if it was going to. (I do 100W *max* into a roof-mounted MFJ magloop, but typically ~50W just to be safe.) -Mooneer K6AQ On Wed, Oct 20, 2021 at 11:36 AM David Bunte wrote: > Eric - > > Xfinity is also my provider. Re: [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
Wow! Doesn't seem to make sense... so they believe that by shutting down your home internet that you will stop operating your station which allegedly is causing the interference? Or do they believe that by the sheer fact that Xfinity is connected to your home that your station is causing harmful interference which is being transmitted directly into your home box? Eric - Xfinity is also my provider. I have never heard of such a thing... and I had no idea they did anything down at 14 mHz. I would call the ARRL directly and ask for suggestions on how to proceed. I would also call Xfinity customer service and ask for justification. My guess is that like most of us there is not a suitable competitor from whom you can get service. [Elecraft] HELP! XFINITY SHUT OFF INTERNET DUE TO HAM ANTENNAS
Dear Gang: Xfinity, our internet provider, showed up at 7:30am this morning, to explain to the XYL that we were being cut off for good because my amateur radio activities had caused wide area outages. Oddly, these wide area outages did not include my own house. They told her the antennas themselves--absent any power--were the problem The last time I was threatened, I installed chokes and opto-isolaters on our shielded ethernet lines, and after being told they use 14Mhz as their carrier frequency, I have stayed off 20m, only using 100w unless I'm in a rare contest. I asked to speak to a technical guy--they gave me a number which I called, but he never called back. Any Ideas? Does anyone have a contact at the ARRL, or know a communications lawyer? Comcast/Xfinity will be back out here at 2pm Pacific time--I'd appreciate any help. My XYL depends on an internet connection to work. Being off the air is unimaginable. Re: [Elecraft] Help getting WSJTx audio out thru K3
Bob, Go to my webpage www.w3fpr.com and read the articular about setting the transmit audio levels. There are up to 3 sound level controls involved, 2 in the computer and one in the K3. If you are using the MIC input, there are 2 levels - high output mics and low output mics. Your audio soundcard should be able to use the high output setting, but if it was reset to the low output mic setting, that could explain your problem. Strive for 4 bars solid on the ALC bargraph with the 5th bar flashing. 73, Don W3FPR On 10/15/2021 3:43 PM, Bob KD7YZ wrote: Hello K3 List Just got my K3 back from Elecraft. Re: [Elecraft] Help Needed for KPA100 Amplifier
Carter: this may be a serial communications problem between the KX3 and KXPA100. Just as a diagnostic step, try turning the amp on with its power slide switch. It should stay on. To avoid needing to use that slide switch all the time, there is a serial command sent periodically from the KX3 to the amp telling it to switch on. That command must be repeatedly received to keep the amp on. If your serial cable is intermittent (not fully seated?) all the KX3 messages may not be arriving at the amp, and the amp turns itself off after a period of silence from the KX3. Another serial cable might also be helpful. Good luck! 73 de Dick, K6KR > On Aug 12, 2021, at 09:45, Carter Craigie wrote: > > My problems all started when I moved my Elecraft KX3, PX3, and the ASTRON > RS-35A PS from the garage upstairs to the second floor. Re: [Elecraft] Help with the KX3 and FT8 and SignaLink
I had the very same set up for a couple years, which was easy and worked fine with FT-8. When I was having trouble with WinLink, another ham suggested a Signalink sound card would help, and he was right. I now use the SignaLink with FT-8, with maybe better results, but it's hard to tell. Anyway, the SignaLink Web site says to change the name of the radio in settings in FT-8 from KX-3 to , but I'm not sure why. All works fine either way, except I lose CAT control, so have to change the frequency on the KX-3 manually when I change bands. Any thoughts? david KC1DNY in the woods of Maine. Re: [Elecraft] Help with the KX3 and FT8
Using FT8 with the KX3 is pretty simple. I've used it with both the standard USB and USB DATA A mode. Hook it up just like any other digital mode, adjust the volume on the rig and level out on the PC, look at the meter settings in the software and make contacts. Don't make it more complicated than it is - try it, adjust, and have fun. Re: [Elecraft] help with writing a macro for the KPA 1500
Howard, Did you get your KPA1500 PF macros to work? I use these all the time, doing exactly the same thing you want. In the KPA1500 Utility, on the PF Keys tab, fill them in as: PF1:^XI00; PF2:^XI30; PF1 for K3 / K3S and PF2 for Flex. I have Serial Speed XCVR set to 38400 bps and have the USB Cables setup configured for the same speed. Howard: The KPA1500 PF1 and PF2 buttons are programmed from the KPA1500 Utility. Choose the Configuration tab, and the PF Keys tab. Enter the macros for PF1 and PF2, then "APPLY" or "OK". The macros might be something this for PF1: ^DTRADIO TYPE K3;^XI0; And this for PF2:^DTFLEX SERIAL;^XI3; The ^DT text shows on the LCD screen when you hold the PF button to remind you what it was intended to do. 73 de Dick, K6KR -Original Message- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Howard Sherer Sent: Saturday, October 24, 2020 12:13 To: elecraft Subject: [Elecraft] help with writing a macro for the KPA 1500 I am trying to write macros for the PF 1 & 2 keys for the KPA 1500. Re: [Elecraft] Help on wiring up a XV144 to a KX3 (or KX2)
Paul, What I said refers to the KX3 only. For the KX2, there is only a single TRRS jack instead of the KX3 ACC2 jack which is TRS. So the wiring for the KX2 is different than what I specified. 73, Don W3FPR - Paul, Your wiring from the KX3 ACC2 jack to the XV144 DE-9 connector is not correct. The ACC2 shield should wire to XV Control pin 1 - this is ground for the XV144. The ACC2 ring should wire to XV Control pin 9 - This is the KEYIN to the XV144. The ACC2 tip should wire to XV Control pin 6 - This is the AUXBUS signal to the XV144. The KX3 ACC2 IO menu parameter must be set to TRN CTRL. I have some questions about the level of this signal - the KX3 outputs a 3 volt logic level and the XV144 is expecting a 5 volt logic level. You can try it direct (I have never tried it). If things do not work properly, you will have to insert a bi-directional level conversion in the path. Actually the XV144 will work fine without the AUXBUS connection, but you do need the KEYIN signal. Configure the XV144 for a non-Elecraft transceiver and with the KEYIN connection, all will work fine. Set all the DIP switches to OFF - those switches only respond to the Power On the XV from the transverter. That signal is only available from the K2 and K2, it is not available from the KX3. 73, Don W3FPR On 7/8/2019 9:08 PM, Paul Gacek via Elecraft wrote: I would like to connect these two and am following the guidance in Fred Cady’s KX Line manual page 239 and details in the XV Owners Manual.
