On my latest K2 build, I put a 1pf cap into the C68 (10pf) location. The 1pf
cap was labelled "1D", which looked a lot like a "10" to my eyes. I think it
took me about 4 hours to figure that one out. Once fixed, it all fell into
place, and everything worked.

OK. One thing common to it all that could be affected by the flexing of the RF
board, is the J14
connector assembly. It looks like it could be a bit fragile, since it's so
tall. I'll check it again,

I have seen references to cold temps causing trouble with the logic, but 55F
doesn't seem that cold - or does it?
I thought I would ask for some advice before I start troubleshooting. I think
the K2, and KAT100 are fine.

I have the original Clifton Labs instructions for building and installing the
amp into a K2.
Your amp already built, so all you need are the installation instructions,
right? I can scan them, and send them to you as a .pdf.

For what it's worth, all of the the pictures of the 3-wire pigtail in my
instructions show RG174 (and mention that). Maybe you could use the "bigger"
cable.
