Chris:
I've got a similar (different amperage version) Sorensen. We blew it last
year during an ESD test (it was supplying power to the EUT). I managed to
obtain pieces of the original manual, and finally repaired it. Turned out to
be a blown Op Amp IC. Give me a call at work.

Hi Paul,
Although not related to EN 60598-1, I found the following using Google and
the term - ignition temperature of wood - Chapter 17 addresses Fire
Safety (of wood).

Hi All,
A 'quick' question relating to Figure 27 of the above specification. Does
anyone have any further information as to the source of the data used to
compile the 'ignition temperature of wood as a function of time graph'.

I have recently experienced similar pain, although I'm using later

Paragraph 4.7.2.1 (really all of section 4) is important reading and

and which do not. But be careful the fifth dashed item under 4.7.2.2 tells
only part of the answer.

Kristiaan -
As with the remainder of the standard, the fire enclosure
requirements apply only to the effected areas. If the
remainder of the product, by its construction features, does
not require a fire enclosure, only the volume surrounding
the TN circuit needs to meet the fire enclosure
Yes! We need them to keep the digital designers well grounded.
