from the computer for the last week because of back problems, but you
and the other kitties on the list have never left my thoughts and

the vet's (that's when I took that picture of him). The vet had given
him cypro and I believe this may have affected him negatively as he
became restless as the evening went on. This morning he is up and

Yep, Ewok is on daily pred...I actually took him to the oncologist this
morning (his next appointment wasn't until next week) because he wasn't
feeling well and (I believe) vomited last night... :( The tumor in his
belly is crazy aggressive...the oncologist gave him a round

You might want to stop the pred and give dex/depo shots
instead. The depo is instead of pred, and is stronger and longer lasting.
The fact that Ewok went two weeks or so without needing another depo shot says
to me that he is not near the end yet. I would strongly suggest, if he
-self-self is back...he even felt good enough to wrestle a
little with his buddy (Hermes--who has been waiting patiently for Ewok
to feel up to playing) yesterday for the first time in about a month!
I'm still watching him like a hawk as the oncologist won't be able to
give him another treatment

1/2 cc Dexamethasone and 1/2 cc depomedrol. Though the norm, when
giving Depomedrol, is to give a whole cc at one time, and I have done that as
well because some vets insist that is the right amount if you give depo at all.
But the vet who taught me about doing the combo shots uses 1/2 cc
oh, and they can be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
The oncologist gave them to Simon intramuscularly, and I gave the follow-up dex
shots subcutaneously. IM is faster than sub-q in terms of absorbtion rate.

Unfortunately, not much improvement...he stays a the vet's office
during the day for fluids and supportive therapy...his appetite is
still close to nil and now he is combating severe diarrhea! The vet
is trying everything she can think of and Ewok is being such a little
sweet

My itchy allergy cat Mythic suffers though
similar things. Hopefully you can get it cleared up, and it wont be an ongoing
thing. They really suffer alot if you can't eliminate the cause. Maybe it's
something in the air that will go away quickly! I'm hoping that is the case for
Ewok
Sorry, forgot to mention that he has a vet appointment in about an
hour...wish us luck!! :)

oncologist's office straight away and it was confirmed that he has
lymphosarcoma in his chest cavity. He went through his first round of
chemo this morning
