Well I received a reply from Boo's previous owner today. They blame me for all
that happened. They insist he was happy and healthy before we got him and
basically that we killed him by having vets stick needles in him and using
drugs that were not FDA approved. She's so stupid, she refers to
Yeeuch--they are a ghastly pair, Lynne. Much easier to blame someone
else than look at themselves in the mirror. I hope they're worried about
a lawsuit.

Well I do because I'm older than they are and will in all likelihood be there
first, and me and Boo and all his thug buddies will be waiting with baseball
bats :)

Hello All,
I just got off the phone with Sally Foster. Old timers may remember her
from the list. We became friends years ago when I first joined the list
and Sally was kind enough to offer me her phone number so I could cry on
her shoulder. Sally has been doing TNR and rescuing cats for yea
Nina,
SHE HAS TO MOVE THE CATS. I don't care if she has to board them, or
whatever, but if AC has been there, they ARE COMING BACK. For that matter
if I absolutely had to I would let them outside to keep AC from getting
their evil hands on them, but that would be a last resort...

California and Texas are really different. We have very specific laws on the
books governing seizures, very rescue friendly state laws. Sally is in the San
Jose area, about an hour south of me.
I'll call her and get some details. I know California rescue law pretty
well. Let me find
Um, I just yesterday saw a raid in LA that almost made me vomit.

California is definitely not on my list of safe places to own animals.
But I don't know about San Jose.

southern California has had a lot of problems. A friend was raided a year and

However, the San Francisco/Bay Area, which includes San Jose, is very different.
California is a big state. The more rural/agricultural a
I hope the lawsuits are successful.
I hope you are able to help Sally.:)

They'll probably stop harassing rescuers, about the time when the
cities do some other things - like stop outlawing "pit bulls" instead
of punishing the bad folks who fight and misuse these dogs... sigh.

I will get a copy of them and send you the numbers. I've got to speak to the

Hi Susan
How is Autumn doing???
Junior is on L lysine all the time. He weighs 13#s and get aprroximately
1000mg split in two doses mixed into his wet food. He does not always finish
his food , but he gets most of it. I have not had him tested for FHV but
symptom- wise I would say he does have it.
Yep, last summer and fall BooBoo spent most of his time in my driveway. Every
morning he would be there when I would get back from my morning run and I'd
feed him before I went to work. He'd stay at our place all day and then go
home at night. As the weather became colder we started inviting
I'd take a healthy FeLV neutered male in a heart beat.

Thank you Susan and Kelley for your replies and concern. I'm sure Sally
will appreciate any help or advice you can give her. I have an
unreasonable fear of animal control, I think of them like I would the
