I'm getting a kernel panic when trying to mount a
nwfs file system or when trying to do a "ncplist s".
The system also panics on shutdown,
referencing IPXrouted in the panic.

For the record.
The quick fix for Apcupsd 3.10.6 hangup problems was
to delete the "apcaccess status" parts out of the
scripts in /usr/local/etc/apcupsd/. (commok,
onbattery, etc...). Event messages still get "wall"ed
and mail still gets sent. Just non of the UPS status

When I get to the # prompt in single user mode, I cannot use
the passwd command. I get the error;;
passwd: error opening database: /etc/pwd.db: Permission denied
passwd: /etc/master.passwd: unchanged
and permissions are as follows;

All of a sudden, I can't login, even as root. I tried to set the
password of root to nil (because I happened to be logged in as root at
the time) and that didn't work either.
Then, thinking that the machine was acting up, I rebooted. Now I am in
deeper. I can't even access the machine.
Any idea

Except I couldn't mount. There was too many erro
I have two systems. One system is version 4.0 and the other 4.8S.
I took the drive out of the 4.8 machine and mounted the slices with
the 4.0 machine. After the initial mount, which worked, I got
errors on subsequent mount attempts.
It actually puts the 4.0 machine into panic whenever I try now.

latest and most stable solution to providing ASP functionality on
FreeBSD 4.x stable with Apache 1.3x (currently we are running with SSL, PHP,
etc... in case there are any conflicts that we need to be aware of). I see the
perl port in the ports, anyone with experience with that?
