BTW, I have my primary system up 24/7. My last machine, which was an
older Dell Optiplex G1 to begin with, ran almost nonstop for nearly 3
years. Only reboots were for upgrades and loss of power. Other
machines are typically delegated to hibernation whe

Finally, the server setup I have. I know I'm running pretty close to

passwords (as root on the local system only). The trick is that it
must change the password non-interactively. I had this working, but

when it's not there?

# make installworld
# mergemaster
# reboot

very cool splash, but it dumps core when I try to play m4a
files.
BTW, these m4a files were ripped by iTunes on my wife's windoze box,
and I am trying to play them on FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE-p1.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Failed 2/944 test scripts, 99.79% okay. 20/100430 subtests failed, 99.98% okay.
I have read through the 'make test' section in the INSTALL file, and I
have set the LC_ALL environment variable, but as I expected that
doesn't affect these particular tests.

to mute the volume and save the old volume for resetting, then tied
the script to my mute button.
Before you use the commands above for your WM config, check them at
the command line (without the "Exec") to make sure they work. You
might boost the mod value to get more immed
