Unless you have a specific need to boot your PC with FreeDOS, I would
recommend running FreeDOS inside Linux DOSEmu. This is mostly how I
use FreeDOS these days. It works great.
Por favor... don't write such words here - because the chief should
not make it official, that there should be used

I understand that drivers are operating system-specific; but I was
wondering if somebody could develop an operating system that could act as an
adaptor to allow Windows drivers to emulate computer services for DOS,
such as, for example running a

You have an old mainboard with isa and it`s working good for you?
No, I have a SB Live! 5.1 PCI soundcard...I had tried the driver for
SB16 emulation, but it wasn't compatible with some drivers so I never
used it. With old mainboards I mean more or less 2, 3 years.
Very! If there come up some
Then, please, somebody send me some if available.
But I do not know how to get rid of the attachments from my email on this

Greetings all-
I was wondering if there were any interest in seeing Free DOS running
on the OLPC XO?
For background, the OLPC has under development a version of Open

Is the goal to become only a 100 % MS-DOS replacement or also higher
goals? Like to become an alternative for desktop end users, a competitor
to windows/linux?
We have discussed this frequently :-)
100% compatiblity with MS-DOS is the goal of FreeDOS 1.x. But later,
with 2.x+, there can be
missed it.
Yes, I am using it everytime... since I am not using my normal PC I am

Hi Eric, hi Jim, hi all :-)
I think that there should be a link at freedos.org's download page to
sys-freedos-linux because many people from the DOS community are using
Linux too and it is very useful (also a link to the USB-stick-how-to).
