Yes, Apple is dropping support for PPC machines and Tiger in general. These machines are still useful - I currently am using a PB G4 15" 1.25GHZ I paid $145 for on ebay and am running Leopard quite well. I am also using a MDD G4 running Tiger Server Unlimited. My mother still uses a G3/500MHZ iMac
