This will give you a reasonable touch up, but by no means is it a great
touch up.
First step is to head over to Grokking the Gimp site and read up on the
curves dialog box, theres a tutorial there that will teach you how to remove
the colour cast.
For the second step i duplicated the laye

but not with your link. And the seco
Well, I played around with it a little. Exactly how good do you want it?
It is fairly easy to modify levels and colors to get something that looks
okay. The date can be removed with the clone tool. Beyond that, it gets
more difficult. One really has to rebuild the image from scratch to do a

Hello all--
I am a fairly long term, but still mostly not-very-good, GIMP user. I
received a roll of pictures back that are dreadful. I cannot imagine
what happened--you know how these whiz-bang cameras do everything for
you--but most of the pictures look like this:

Hi,
I have updated my tutorial on Smoothing in the Photographic Effects section.

Different countries, different mentalities. I can't see the problem either. I
see women like her everyday when I go swimming. And to be honest, I've haven't
seen any kid going blind, nor do I go nuts

Hi
You can use the Flip tool which is labeled with a double-arrow. In the
dialog-window (accessed by doubleclicking on the doublearrow-icon) you can
choose, if you want to flip horizontally or vertically.

Hi!
I am new with gimp, I would like to do horizontal and vertical
mirrors of an image, not rotations, but I cannot find it, though I
think it should be pretty obvious.
Thanks in advance,
