Without going downstairs to look at CC for the exact date, the modern style
of busk was invented in the late 1820s; 1828 sticks in my head. They didn't
come into widespread use until the 1840s, but it's definitely not impossible
to find them earlier.

Judging by the styles, it's c1500-1510. Interestingly enough (ok, maybe
only to me) there's a heavy Spanish influence in a lot of the gowns worn by
the main characters and in the silhouettes of the more normal Franco-Flemish
gowns.
