You don't understand the problem, 24 slots are taken by players, 1 slot is taken by HLTV, so 25 slots are occupied. But the server status shows only 24 occupied slots, instead of 25. Our players think there is a free slot and they want to join, but they can't, because HLTV is not counted as

I thought that was picked up last night already, but here we go; We're unable to get more then 4 servers running on a Debian Lenny install. 4 L4D servers run fine, but the 5rh crashes (both srcds_run and srcds_i486) as soon as it has passed the 'Vac secured' message, and players start to join.

Your guys are not going to believe this but ... I'm running a l4d server on a Celeron 220 (1.3 Ghz monocore) with 512 MB of ram ... The server is running fine with ~50% CPU usage max. Players are not experiencing any kind of lag or what ever... - Debian etch with debian sid libc6 (apt pinning)

Debian Etch is the latest stable. The main reason why it has libc6 2.3 is because 2.3 still supports kernel 2.4, in the next release of lenny it will ship with libc6 2.7 which should correct the problem. If you have the choice of installing a new OS, choose ubuntu, since they seem to have newer

*strace* is a system call tracer, i.e. a debugging tool which prints out a trace of all the system calls made by a another process/program So find out the pid of the server and then run the following. strace -p pid# -s 6 -f -t -o /tmp/strace.log And when it crashes you will have a log.
