In Dough Lee's scripts for YouTube, this functionality is implemented. When
these scripts are installed, simply press the Command key (left bracket by
default) and then the letter s.

Thunderbird help apparently has a tutorial.  See the google search link

You may want to do the google search yourself given the long link or
copy it in  www.tinyurl.com or something like it.

Your top line menu has a help section, which I found useful.  You might
also want to thoroughly familiarize yourself with the Options and
Account areas of the Tools top line menu.

Hi Judy,

The keystrokes starting with alt in web pages may require you also press SHIFT.
For example, a link which has access key b is activated in IE by pressing ALT+B
and then ENTER, ALT+B in Chrome and ALT+SHIFT+B in Firefox. BTW, try pressing
ALT+SHIFT+L to see if that works.

Hope it helps!

Hello again,

I am a new author with www.textbroker.com.

I have successfully submitted material, but have some beginner-type questions.

When submitting the text of the article, there is a text box for the body of
the article. All well and good.

When composing the original document in Word, after copy-pasting that Word doc
with all its attributes, such as bold, italics, hyperlinks, etc. those
attributes do not transfer over in to the site's text field.

To solve this, the site has provided links for adding those attributes back in
above the text box/edit field for the text body. However, I am unable to get
those to work, don't know how to access them without getting out of the text
field.

For instance, when wanting to attach a hyperlink to the words Outdoor Fun,
doing the traditional control-K in Word actually opens a new Textbroker page.

However, I am asking if there is a way to actually use the link for hyperlink
provided by Textbroker. You are supposed to be able to highlight your text,
then go up to the link to activate the hyperlink in the document, but does not
work, since I am out of the edit field. The formatter link even gives ashort
cut key of Alt-L, which I have tried, but does not work either. Note that the
control-B does work for Bold, and I believe the control-U key will work too.

If this problem is too confusing, let me know and will try to rephrase.

Thanks as always.

Judy

[JAWS-Users] Sound Forge 11 and VST plugins

2018-02-13 Thread Orlando Enrique Fiol

Hi all.
I'm a former Window-eyes user who's made a pretty painless transition
to Jaws. However, I'm using Sound Forge with different VST and DX
plugins such as Waves, Izotope and TC Works. But it seems that Sound
Forge imposes its own interface on these plugins, making their
parameters inaccessible using any of the Jaws cursors. Most of these
plugins work well in Audacity, though. I've tried the existing Jaws
scripts for Audacity, but they mysteriously disable the left and
right brackets as selection keys. Even the pass-through command
doesn't release those keys. In short, are any of you using a similar
configuration of Sound Forge 11 and some VST plugins? If so, can you
actually edit the plugins or must you rely on their presets? In my
case, because of Sound Forge's interface, the Waves presets do not
appear unless a sightling loads them from the Waves toolbar.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Miriam,
The easiest way is to go to the folder where your document is located and
then get it highlighted.
Now type Ctrl + C.
Now get your email addressed, fill in your subject, and proceed to the
message area.
Here type CTRL + V and it will paste your file as an attachment. Then you
can type in your message and send the email with the attachment.

Another method to attach files witting File Explorer, although it only works in
Windows 8 or latter, is to add the E-mail button of the Share tab to the Quick

This toolbar comes by default with some commands like Properties and Delete,
but since you can access them with keyboard shortcuts non-dependant of this
toolbar, I removed them from there and I added two commands: the Copy As Path
option and the E-mail button. By the way, after I select the file(s) I want to
attach, I can press ALT+2 to quickly open a new message with the file(s)
attached.
Of course, for this to work, Outlook must be set as your default e-mail program.

Hi Mariam,

There are many ways to attach a file to an e-mail message. Here is one of my
favorite methods.

Open Windows Explorer with Windows Key+e.

Navigate to the file you want to attach. If you want to attach multiple files
from the same folder, navigate to the first file, hold down the Control key,
press the down arrow until you get to the next file you want and then press the
Space bar while still holding down the Control key.
Continue holding down the control key and using the down arrow and Space bar
until all files are selected.

Use the copy command Control+c.

Go to your outlook Inbox. Do not open any files.
Use the Control+v paste command.

Like magic a new message will open, the file(s) will be attached and you should
be in the To field.

HTH,
Annette

Re: [JAWS-Users] how do I attach a document to an email in Outlook 2016

2018-02-13 Thread JM Casey
A nice trick, and I think will work with all Outlook versions starting from
at least 2010, is this:

Start your e-mail.
Open a file explorer window and proceed to your document.
With the cursor on the document (meaning that it is selected), hit ctrl-c to
copy.
Alt-tab back to your message. Hit ctrl-v anywhere in the body of your
message.
Your document is now attached.

If you are in the document, you can use alt plus f then e then h then a and
it will take you into the e-mail where you will end up in the too field.
Then proceed as per normal with the e-mail. The document will already be
attached.
The second way is to close out of your document, and set up an e-mail as
normal. Then, go to your list of document, find your document, and hit
control c for copy, then go back into the body of your e-mail and hit
control v for pace. Then continue as per normal with your e-mail.

would say it before the item, before the price etc. It is very annoying and

Re: [JAWS-Users] how do I attach a document to an email in Outlook 2016

2018-02-13 Thread ely.r
Miriam.
Another approach would be to create your email including the send to and
subject fields and then write your message.
At the bottom of your message on a blank line press the Alt key. and right
arrow right once or until you here Insert.
Down arrow once and you will hear "include grouping attach file. Press
enter.
A window will open with a list of files that have been recently open. This
list includes any file that you have recently edited and it may also contain
files you have recently saved such as an attachment someone has sent you.
It the file appears in that list, highlight it and press enter. The
attachment is in your message at the place where your cursor was sitting.
That is why it is good to be on a lank line. That avoids putting the
attachment somewhere like the middle of a line of text.
Is the file you wanted not in that list? Arrow to the bottom of the list and
the last entry will be "Browse this computer." Press enter and brows away.
When you find the file you want press enter on that file . It is now
attached.

Part of the reason that I like this approach is that most often I want to
send a file on which I have recently worked. The list of recent files keeps
me from having to navigate through folders and sub folders to find that
file. Even if I have to use the "browse this computer" approach, I won't
have to do the copy and paste steps. Once I have found that desired file,
pressing enter on it makes it an attachment. I am happy to answer any
questions.
Good luck.

Look in the directory where you told it to download, it will be under the
Options in the FreeYoutube-to-MP3 converter section.
Also, beware that when you download a file, it might be named with an
unexpected symbol which would affect where it ends up in the list when you
find the appropriate directory i.e. an underscore or some other punctuation
in front of it.

2018-02-13 Thread George Martinez Sr.
Miriam,
The easiest way is to go to the folder where your document is located and
then get it highlighted.
Now type Ctrl + C.
Now get your email addressed, fill in your subject, and proceed to the
message area.
Here type CTRL + V and it will paste your file as an attachment. Then you
can type in your message and send the email with the attachment.

I thought I removed it all after using revo uninstaller.

On google here, it states when using the tool Avast has to remove it, it boots
into safe mode?

Is there another way, as I never messed with safe mode before.

Windows Defender for anti-virus. Free version of MalwareBytes for anti-malware.

Defender is already built into your Windows 10 and probably good enough for
your purposes. It's less annoying than free AV out nowadays, which is always
full of ads and hardly ever great from an accessibility standpoint. And it does
detect a lot of stuff. Arguably, too much. But you can exclude areas of your
drive if you are getting false positives.

Yes, you don't need a touch screen to use the touch cursor with JAWS just
enable it with JAWS key and plus or is it shift and plus on the PC keyboard, I
am sure someone will confirm.
It is brilliant for flicking around the screen with the arrow keys when the

If you have the program installed to your system, then the default location

If you are running a portable version, then the Downloads folder would be

Hello Judy,

If you actually mean a header then the following doesn't apply. I am
thinking you likely mean that you want to make the first sentence of a
paragraph a heading. The following applies in Word:

You can select a sentence by pressing function key 8 three times. If using
a mouse in Word you can hold down CTRL and do a single left click on a word
to select the entire sentence. You can use a Word built-in heading style or
one you have created. To use heading 1 style use Alt with CTRL and 1. This
makes the selection a heading 1 style having a 16-point size of the Calibri
Lite font and the font color is blue.

If you use CTRL with Alt and 2 you get a heading 2 style, which is the same
font and font color but the size is 13 point. Using CTRL with Alt and 3
will use a heading 3 style, which is the same font but size 12 point.

If by chance you mean you want the first line of a paragraph to be a heading
then just select the line by moving focus on to it and using shift key with
down arrow to select it. You can then use shortcut keys for the appropriate
heading.

There are of course many styles to choose from but the first three levels of
headings are quite often used in Word documents.

If you actually mean you want to create a header where text goes above the
document in the empty white space of the top margin then of course steps are
different.

Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] free youtube to mp3 converter question?

2018-02-13 Thread Brian Lee
Hello,

You might consider using the search box in File Explorer or Windows
Explorer. After opening File Explorer or Windows Explorer use CTRL E to
move focus into the search box. There are a lot of different criteria you
can use when searching but here are a couple you might try. The first one
gives results for MP3 files for this month. The second one gives results
for MP3 files from yesterday, the third one gives results for all files and
not just MP3 files worked on after January 31 of this year but before today.
You can copy and paste the below examples to try each one. I think the
first one will likely be sufficient. Don't press enter key after typing or
pasting the information into the search box, instead just hold down CTRL and
press tab key twice to move to the results list.

Modified:this month type:.mp3

Modified:02-12-18 type:.mp3

Modified:>01-31-18<02-13-18

I hope this works for you.

Take care.
