I suspect that MicroSoft designed it for internal files relating to
applications, which it does not matter if they are lost, and that is why
they made the folder hidden so that we would not see it.
Better route would be to flag the first group as Tag 1 and the rest as Tag
2. Then create two new files for Tag 1 and for Tag 2, and keep but do not
use the original file.
The question is whether the two groups are totally separate or whether there
is common information, links etc between them,
So why did the Office 2016 install not remove Office 2010, and why did
Embarcadero RAD install not remove earlier versions.
It is normal to retain or offer to remove older versions – just make sure that
your install process uses different folder names per version to stop the
