A Question:
I enjoy all the questions and answers on the MacGroup email, but I am
planning a little vacation this winter. To keep my unopened email at a
minimum, I would like to shut down my McGroup connection temporarily.
Instructions for shutting down are very clear; I shall send Majordomo
the problem by installing a UBS card in
the computer.
It is a little trouble to keep switching things around, but what the
hell, I'm retired and have planty of time.

an Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0
that came with a new scanner that I have never used, and I might try
that first.
I guess I owe all you guys a beer.

Well Neal you would have to buy a full version of Photoshop as

we could not arrange that, we just pitched them into their laps when
the teacher was not looking.
School was sometimes fun for little boys/

The True Origin of the Internet
In ancient Israel, it came to pass that a trader by the name of
Abraham Com did take unto himself a young wife by the name of Dot.
And Dot Com was a comely woman, broad of shoulder and long of leg.
Indeed, she had been called 'Amazon Dot Com.'
And she said
in the barn, about 250 feet from the house. If you are
interested, I can test those I have now the same way. One of them is
labeled Radio Shack 2.4 Ghz.

If you have Microsoft Office, more specifically Word, just copy the

While we are on the subject of Microsoft, I heard that today-- April

of a virus. Has anyone heard if this rumor is true or not?

One more bit of advice. When doing the scans, if you have the time,
use the maximum dpi. It may take a little longer, but this will enable
you to get larger clear prints if you decide they are needed. For
publication, most editors want at least 400 dpi.

Thanks for the warning. I thought installing 10.5.6 on my G5 was a
nightmare. What happened to the good old days- like when we were on
system 6?
But I suppose I should not complain. My Apple stock went up about
four grand last month.

If all else fails, I have old systems in a drawer going back to about
1989.
Just decide which one you need, and I will see if I have it. Like most
old people, I never throw anything away, but occasionally I loose
things.
