I can identify with this. While I like my S430, it’s completely soulless
compared to earlier models. Other than the hood star there is nothing, and I
mean nothing, that makes it stand out among other cars.

Here's the deal:
When I got the car, the only thing that didn't work on it was the parking
brake. You pulled on the release and it just slid right out of the dash.
Pressing the pedal down applies the parking brake, but it doesn't latch.
I removed the release handle and found that the cab

True.
That could very well be the case, but without getting the whole assembly out or
at least being able to access it, I can't tell.
The release cable is buried in the pedal assembly somehow, and even requires a
special tool to remove and install it. There are two bolts that hold the whole

Interesting, I will have to share that. The slave trade got started
here by bringing up Africans from Barbados (and I learned on a visit,
Antigua) as the planters who had set up there found promise in the

Why have you been avoiding Michelins? On parts cars I have seen Michelins that
have to be at least 20 years old that still hold air if that counts for
anything.

WD40 is not the stuff to use. It is a "Water Displacer" and dries to
gunk that is worse than the previously stuck condition. PB might be a

Traction and noise. Round shape is not sufficient. I've bought two

People who worked at one of the auto plants in Atlanta would tell you not to

If you can get the chain out of the come-along the best way to

along with a couple of shovels of sand. Worked for me a couple of
