is the most comfy, the concourse is the fastest, and the FJR is the best

True that. Javier has a friend with one of their enduro type bikes, it took him
3 hours and a huge mess in the garage just to change the oil himself. His had
two separate oil tanks, it required removal of the airbox and what little

My point was that they are over engineered machines albeit very nice, and that

Well congrats on your purchase. The 650s are great bikes, nimble around
town yet comfortable on the fwy. If you're suspicious of that stabilizer
you can always keep an eye on eBay or see if you have any local salvage

Agreed. Make sure timing marks line up correctly, otherwise the chain may have
jumped a cog on a timing gear. I had a 82 Honda accord that did similar after a
timing belt change.

1980. His was a BMW 1200 jug head. I on my 1979 Electraglide. His clutch
ferrell came loose/off. We were in Mendosino visiting friends in the boonies.

Seen it before. He had to remove the ignition trigger from the end of the
crank to do any clutch work. He put it back on without indexing it to the
crank. So, it's outta' time, big time.
