You can always keep an eye out for the K 35 F3.5. It's slow, but optically
it's right up there with the FA 35mm F2. They tend to go for <$100, if you
can find one. They seem to be somewhat rare, or their current owners
simply aren't giving them up.

I'm after a 35mm lense, i cant really extend the finances to the 35/2 at the
moment, if i find i like the focal length then i'll get one later on
So getting to the point, whats out there in the 35mm focal length? i'm not
fussed if it is a pentax brand lense or not and the speed doesnt really

that'd cover the focal plane at 6x7 would probably be slower than a focal plane
