Brent, your ZX-M lacks the TTL flash circuitry so forget about any TTL dedicated flashes. These, be it Pentax or third party, will only work with the rest of the ZX series. The best you can get is camera communicating the aperture to the flash. If your 383 already does that, than

Hi Bill, I've got the SMCT version of this (and the earlier 500/5). AFAIK there isn't any difference between the SMCT 500/4.5 and K500/4.5 apart from the mount, which is detachable anyway. Both lenses are manual diaphragm. I guess you could hand hold it, but not for very long. A nice
