I am curious for those who may have experience with the low light
capabilities of the K-x how much better it might be than this.
This was shot with my K20D @ ISO 3200.

I seem to be encountering more low light (or rather somewhat poor
light) situations

I don't have a Kx, but at the size presented, it's impossible to accurately
gauge the amount of noise in that photo.
That being said, at this small size, the pic appears to be quite clean.
Excellent shot BTW.

Another good one. Nice rendering, no significant noise that I can see at that
size, even in the deep shadows.

Several have already mentioned Mystic Seaport, which I can highly recommend.
The Catholic men's organization Knights of Columbus is headquartered in New
Haven and has an interesting museum of religious items as well as thse of
the organization. Branford or Warehouse Point north of Hartford both

Rob Studdert recently posted a shot taken at ISO 12800 with a K-x.
As a D700 shooter, to say I was suitably impressed with the IQ, would
be a mild understatement.

Well, maybe just one.
Damn. Two in a row.

Has anyone tried this glossy fine art paper? Atlex has it on sale. I'm thinking
of trying it. Some of my car pic customers would like glossy prints. Hahnemuhle
provides an icc profile for my Epson r2400, so printing with it should be
relatively straightforward.

that shot of Nick is outstanding, the other one is kinda fun.
Thanks Doug. It's certainly my favourite shot of the session.
More so because the lighting worked out exactly as I had envisioned
it. Considering how much a noob I am in the studio, I was well
pleased.
