1. High ISO is at least 1 stop better than the K-3. Probably more.
2. Movie mode is vastly improved with the return of sensor based
stabilization. It also has much less noise in movie mode. Also the
bitrate has been increased finally. I've seen samples and it was
vastly better than the K-3 ever
The K-3 also shares the same connector. FYI

They stopped making new ones though. They brought over the 18-35 but
not the 50-100. So as they slowly phase out lenses they will
eventually make no pentax lenses at all. I like the bigma at least.

Actually EV compensation affects manual mode by changing how the meter

Sure, but with some caveats. If you have zero movement in your scene,

The K-3 II has pixel shift, better SR (1 stop better), and the astro

I checked on the K-5 IIs I have here and AF-C works with the AF IR
beam on the flash and the flash fires. I would imagine the K-3 is the
same because I usually leave it in AF-C. Mine is at a friend's house
right now though so I cannot check. Have you tried a pentax flash with
it? It might be that
If you have the rear screen turned off on the K-3 it doesn't flash the
mode as well. Best I can say is to memorize the number of clicks to
your next preferred mode. You can usually tell what mode it is in by
what settings are changeable in the viewfinder too. Like on the K-5
IIs AV and M are only
And that was supposed to be in response to Collin not John. Sorry about that.

They are west coast but, North Coast Photo Services (NCPS). The same
place Ken Rockwell recommends. Their work is professional and top
notch. Their pricing is fairly reasonable too.

$2 a minute seems pretty reasonable really. I love the 8mm to 5d
capture idea though. That makes me want to go make one and offer
capture services myself lol.

It is an improved green mode. Green mode only supports jpeg last I
checked. The deep learning is just marketing. They used some deep
learning to come up with some better guesses on what settings to use.
Big whoop. I would say you are far better off without this.

I would think Oracle has an installer for Java for MacOS. If Apple
bundles Java then it is probably their own flavor. Personally I would
rather use official java. Microsoft used to have its own java stack
and it was terrible.

Even with a fast card its buffer is pretty limited. Its about as deep
as the buffer on the k-7, so like 13 raws or so. The K-3 has something
like a 28 shot buffer in comparison. Its pretty likely they used the
same amount of memory in both cameras.

Just get the serial number for the installation of CS5 and reinstall
when you upgrade your OS. Pretty easy really.

Yes you can just convert pef to dng with the dng converter. Or you can
shoot DNG and just open the raw. Do note that the K-1 has a bunch of
advanced features that the older camera raw does not support like
multiple area white balance. In the latest lightroom, it works with
the K-3 or at least it

leave it on. I would imagine its power draw in standby is pretty low.
Canon mentioned it having a deep sleep mode that it sinks into.
