My LMS 7.9 and touch (using latest firmware) with EDO play through COAX
into a Cambridge audio Azur 640 surround receiver, that I use for both
music (from the touch) and multimedia.
Although I am quite pleased with the sound, the coaxial input is limited
to 24 bit / 96KHz.

And there's me thinking it could be so easy :-)
Any ideas how I go about looking into this myself? Happy to be pointed
in the right direction and then set off to learn.

Regardless of the length of buffer and timeout I have set, iPlayer is
buffering every 5 seconds to the extent it is unusable.
I have had a much milder form of this problem for a few months now.
Most programs would not play all the way through without buffering to
some extent and often would stop

This sounds like a sourceforge issue - I can't do anything about it.

Can you check cache size after playing a couple of mins from lots of

FWIW my cache.db grew to over 1GB with a running stream

Is it only me or is the BBCiPlayer plugin not showing any on-demand

BBCiPlayerExtra does only play (outside UK) when disabling the DASH, but
BBCiPlayer plays DASH fine.

And so much easier for me
Have you updated to latest version of BBCiPlayer plugin (and also
BBCiPlayerExtra). There are recent changes that fixed a problem.

Hi,
having problems setting it up correctly. I want to use the internal
soundcard to capture an input signal, the soundcard has two plugs
(Mic/line-in). Tried first to listen to wavin:default, but since I heard
nothing I was digging deeper. Here is arecord:

Yup - both (BBCiPlayer and BBCiplayerextra) are newest versions.

What OS ?
Have you Pulseaudio installed and ALSA is supported by Pulseaudio or is
Alsa native. ?

Running daphile (latest beta version, since releases have no ssh
activated), which seems to be based on Gentoo.
Pulseaudio is not installed, only ALSA.

Why not ask the daphile developer ? The "dummy" devices on 0,0 which is
usually default makes m
He never tried your plugin, Daphile is basically an easy LMS standalone
installation, not much more. And I'd guess the soundcard configuration
depends on the hardware I install daphile on, not daphile itself.
But the permissions for arecord might be a reason, no idea.
There is no GUI, only the We
A way to test permission is to play music using aplay through the analog

It is not clear what are your current BBCiPlayer and BBCiPlayerExtra
settings. It is possible for them to be in conflict.
Assuming your problem relate to "Listen Again" programs only.
1. What is your BBCiPlayer setting for "On Demand Stream Preference"
2. What is your BBCiPlayer setting for "Bi
Actually tried the first time to play through the analogue output of the
fitpc2, usually I use a USB-DAC, and I get as well no output. Neither
through aplay nor through the Squeezebox WebUI.
So maybe it is really more a problem of drivers for the internal
soundcard...
