Hello All,
as promised, i will inform you about the progress with our polygon pouring
problem.
I have send our database-file to the Altium Switzerland support center.
They have checked the file and have given us the following statement:
I've looked at the polygon board, the problem was related
Hi Florian,
for what do you need teardrops. Do you design single - side boards of FR2
for consumer - products ?
I think there is no sense to do this for plated FR4 boards.
I would be glad to hear about other opinions about that.

Brad, John, Joop, Marty and Waldemar,
I have still a small idea - what type of storage do you use?
I always use Wndows file system. Could this influence this behavior?
Are you using Protel database?
Since this behavior, if it works right or not, is consistent on several
machines for some of us,
Hi Georg,
on our backplane we have some high-speed connectors for differential
signals.
The pads of those connectors have only a diameter of 0.7 mm and the drills
are 0.3 mm.
The lines connected to these pads have a width of about 0.2 mm.
To make sure they cannot tear from the pads, our

Heiko,
Since I have P99SE (Jan. 2000), I'm using the Protel database, never lost a
design.
I once tried the Windows file system, things went wrong almost immediately
and I hurried back to the Protel database.
Have a nice day!

The pausing comes from the caching/saving. I think it somehow unfortunate solved.

This was my also impression, but for some reason I had an even stronger
impression that the current router is not related to the Neuro Route
product at all. I am not sure if I got this from a conversation a long
time ago with Protel people (or ex-Protel people) or not. The old Neuro

Heiko,
you are probably right to a certain degree, I wouldn't think
personal habit or WFS vs. DDB, I would think more along the lines of
operating system config or machine hardware and drivers. It does seem to
cover a reasonable collection of machines, video cards and even a couple of
OS.
For anybody monitoring or trying to figure out this problem. Our company is
also using the Protel database format. I don't believe that this should be a
contributing factor as regardless of the storage format, you are still
running the same executables/servers on the same file.
Brad Velander,
Andrew,
your brief description of the pauses you experience sounds all too
familiar. If you can search the archives back a few months, check for my
(and other's)comments about pauses or pregnant pauses as I call them.

Well, I know Herr Kulajew's English is a whole lot better than my German (or
any other non-English language), and I welcome his contribution to this

I don't know if this original question has been answered - I'm extremely
busy and haven'y been following any threads.
In the design I am currently sweating over, I came to add a new mechanical

fact I set the alarm
