definitely fast enough to record to.
Or, you can have your Samsung SSD put into your mac mini by a technician.
This is the better way to go because having your OS and apps on an SSD will
definitely speed up your machine.

The manual gets you started with setup and configuration, but now I need to
know how to do things like enabling automation on tracks, controlling
10.11 is working fine over here with a 2012 Mac Mini with 16 gigs of RAM. I've
not had any problems, and actually I have felt that voiceover performance has
improved. I guess everyone's mileage varies depending on the system.

I upgraded one of my machines to the El Capitan Beta.
As a rule, I never upgrade a mission critical machine to a beta or release that
is not yet documented to work with Pro Tools, or other mission critical
software.
However, it came to my attention that El Capitan was much snappier in
the pike, although they're much fewer
these days. I haven't seen one for a couple of months. I wonder whether version

For anyone interested, I downloaded the X32 with Pro Tools Webinar vid from
youtube and converted to mp3. Due to whatever webinar platform they were
using, the sound quality is less than stellar, but it’s totally fine for
educational purposes.

A couple of questions.
When Sound Shifter is your preferred algorithm in the Pro Tools prefs,
does this work in Elastic Pitch and time as well?
Also, is the audio suite panel quite usable? Thanks so much for any help.

I haven't used it either, but Derek has given some live demonstrations
via voice chat and illustrated how easy the interface is once you've
bent your head around it.
I really do believe that the effort will be worth it in the long run as
far as workflow is concerned both for recording live acts
