Matthew and all,
I'm currently working on documentation for a modification to allow use
of the VHF Syntor in the 2m ham bands. As soon as I get it finished, I
will post it to the Repeater-Builder's website.
As far as programming itself, there are a few people out there who can

during repair can crack the substrate and ruin the circuit board.
I just got the PA back, and haven't even had a chance to get it back on

Just something you might want to look into.

I don't believe so, Matthew... The Syntor X was quite a redesign, and a

"Wish Book", is
it???
BTW - the set I have is from an MSR2000 110W station.
Motorola is notorious for under-rating their equipment, so does anyone know
whether there is there any headroom on these jugs? And if so, how far can
they be expected to "stretch", if at all??

above that power rating. For example, Crescend does
not market a PA with over 150W rated output.
BTW - my 440 repeater PA is a Crescend...

I just listed that one because that's what he was indicating he wanted... I
have a Crescend on the air now, and it's working beautifully.
Besides, I believe it was the informed masses here that recommended Crescend
in the first place!! :-)

Only thing about using mobile receiver sections
in a SpectraTAC is that the mobile receivers do not have the preselector on the
board itself.
Otherwise, its plug and play

Well, the last VHF Micor I looked at had the preselector in a different
location... Or maybe it was an SP run.
If so, I stand corrected.

Maybe Im calling it something that
it isnt then
Im thinking of the solid aluminum
block with screws and an antenna connection. I was thinking that is the
preselector.
I believe someone (more educated than I
regarding the Micor) also told me information that at one point in time. Now
