I've just connected my VDR box to my Sony Bravia 32" LCD.
I'm running the vdr-xine plugin.
When I play recordings the screen zooms right up to the 16:9. But when
I'm just viewing the OSD (no DVB card working yet) it's only displaying in
4:3.
If I view a movie from "xine --fullscreen movie.avi"

If I plug out the cable from the card and plug it back again (reset switch
and LNBs)
I can use szap to change the channels. I believe the quad LNBs have diseqc
switch
inside and at reset they are in backward compatible

the DVB-S cards. You where talking about 3 DVB-S cards, but how many LNB's
do you have? How have you wired the system? We have: horizontal / vertical
polarization and then lower and upper band! This makes 2x2 = 4 p
Another thing that comes to my mind. We eliminate everything that might
cause some interaction problem.
Get rid of any multiswitch - so just one LNB directly connected to one DVB-S
card. No other card in the system. Do you still see the problems?

Again: reduce to one DVB-S card, get rid of the switch, direct connection
from dish to DVB card.
And BTW: kyrill moved my SAT dish .. so, why are you sure, that your dish is
rocket solid?

Makes sense. This was a problem that always existed in Windows as well.
I suppose a plugin could do the "disassembly / reassembly" you mention.

Off upstairs to remove all but one card, and see what happens.
back to the PC.
Same problem. Removed two of DVB-cards, no change.
Moved the cable to different ports on the multiswitch, no change.
Any other idea?

It is possible that some trees are in the way, but I'd say the house is
far enough away, and the dish is high enough. And would an obstacle
create problems only
