In the Merhcant Tools section of PayPal you can create a Donation button.
This is what people typically use for a Tip Jar.
Now... I haven't yet figured out how to direct link to a paypal page
so that I can use rel="payment" on the link. If you can figure this
out it would be fantastic!

I too tried to register at DTV w/ one e-mail, and never received an
follow-up registration message.
I waited 30 minutes, checked my SPAM filter, and also didn't receive
anything.
Then I tried registering with my gmail account, and I received the
confirmation e-mail right away.
So try
Give them time... I'm sure they'll respond to some of these issues.
After all, they're only 1-day into public beta. Software is not easy.
If it were, we would all be making fantastic software all the time
with zero bugs and excellent customer support 24x7.

They all freeze or restart my computer. And it is really pissing me
off. I record all my videos in Mpeg 1 format. And I have P4 (2.8ghz)

I dont believe wmv can be supported as they use VideoLan Player (videolan.org)

I know wmv is not horrible and in fact it is technically quite good at
its core, but it really is not ideal... and still feel that
whatver benefits are not nearly strong
If the video iPod "forces" a standard, it certainly won't be WMV.
I don't think Microsoft will let that happen too easily.

desktop. The bottom drawer constantly goes off the bottom of my screen. I should go

My original post was an attempt to kickstart someone in Portland or
Vancouver to organize an event. Between Clint, Mel and myself there
are already 3 presenters.
It would be very difficult for us (in Seattle) to organize one of
these events, but we are willing to help support it.

It was relevant and had a nice note to introduce.
I know Halcyon has contributed to the discussion and he is working
with Veoh, so I was interested in what they are offering.

Well, personally, I will never forget the discussion that started when
I announced what I had to offer. Short term it s*cked, but long term I
came away with some really great feedback.
