Ok. I think I have it! Put volume in rotor, pushed that to about 50 percent, made certain the volume for ringer and alerts was at 100 percent and then set my screen to reading a page and flicked down with 2 fingers. That brought down VO. Checked both settings on rotor and ringer and alerts,

You probably don't want to change the ringer with the volume buttons. So you're going to want that off. that volume in settings is the ringer/alarm volume. Set that where you want your ringer and alarms volumes to be. Everything else will at that point be controlled by the buttons on the side.

Gordon, completely not understanding, sorry. I only see one volume right below the heading. I assume this is for the ringer for the phone. I originally had that set to 100 percent and below that ringer and alerts will not be changed with volume buttons on off. I have now turned that back on.

The tripple press of the home key is a toggle for voice over. So if it's off doing that will turn it on and the same for turning it back on. I didn't think about the two three finger tap for muting and unmuting speech. So you can try that in conjunction with the tripple tap of the home button

Phone ringer and alarm volume are together. The media volume and notifications volume are together. The best thing to do is to go over to settings and sounds and set your ringer and alarm volume using the slider and unchecking that box right next to the slider to only control media volume

There is no way within the messages app to do as you want. With that said, to send a group message with Siri, you can just say, send a message to, and list all of the peoples names. There are also some third party apps that let you create groups to send messages too, but Siri will not work
