Yes, getting rid of the programs activity did the job. I also put punctuation
in my rotor, where it had not been, but I don’t know if that actually did
anything. It was more a preventative measure in case all punctuation stop being
acknowledged.

I ran into this problem when I updated to IOS 15 on my iphone 8. It turned out
to be a problem with the "activity" option in Voiceover. I had an old activity
which got activated that had verbosity settings that caused all punctuation to
be spoken. I deleted that activity and
I have not had any issues with punctuation since 15.1.1.
Have they tried different voices?
Next, would be contacting Apple Accessibility and see if they could run a
diagnostic.
And there is always the trusty, somewhat of a pain, resetting network settings
to scare away the Gremlins

The commas are probably there to slow down how quickly VoiceOver speaks what is
being deleted. Punctuation groups are a nice feature that was added a couple of
years ago. I suggest making a new group. You base a group on one of the
existing groups and can then make modifications

I don't have windows, just heard it. I am used to eloquence, and the old
keynote voice. Strangely, though, when I played with a first generation stream,
on that, Samantha handled the punctuation marks better, in my opinion.

Just wondering if anyone has notice that with the rota set to all punctuation,
when reading back a text message for example, it doesn't always seem to speak
