You can not send an SMS from the IPod because there is no cellular
capability. So the only way you can text her is to use one of the apps like
Allo or What's up and you must both have the app on your device.

I did a (I think) hard reboot by pressing the power and down volume
simultaneously. When I input my 6 digit code it unlocked the phone. Has anyone
else experienced this?
