There must be something very wrong with your setup, sorry I can't help fix it.
I have just checked on my home networks, some running 10.5 and some 10.6, both
with itunes 10.
Under iTunes Preferences, I clicked on the Sharing tab and clicked the
appropriate buttons. Then it all

different account on the same machine. That way you have a different
library for each user, and have the each iPhone synced to the
different libraries belonging to the different users.

Here's a funny thing - although the option-launch thing worked a
couple of times early in this saga, it has now stopped doing so.
Instead, if I option-launch iTunes all that happens is that the
frontmost programme is hidden and iT launches normally. Huh

I used to be able to listen to samples of songs for sale in the music
