MONTENEGRIN PREMIER FILIP VUJANOVIC: SOLANA DID NOT EXERT A PRESSURE ON PODGORICA
PODGORICA- Montenegrin Premier Filip Vujanovic said yesterday that Montenegro did not accept to continue a dialog with Serbia because of alleged pressure of European Union (EU) High Representative Javier Solana. It was not Solana whose order brought us back to negotiation table, but the fact that the EU accepted to witness that new dialog between Montenegro and Serbia should equally embrace possibility of the FRY reforming and consequences of FRY's disappearance - Vujanovic said. MP'S AT YESTETDAY'S SESSION A MINUTE OF SILENCE FOR THE VICTIMS OF TERRORISM PODGORICA- After three months of brutal terrorist attacks on the USA, MP's in the Montenegrin Parliament paid homage to the victims of the tragedy with a minute of silence. Montenegro joined to a general coalition of states in fight against terrorism and took all necessary cooperation measures with other states and international organizations- Vice President of the Montenegrin Assembly Dragan Kujovic said. Kujovic pointed out that " it has been established a good cooperation with other polices in the region after a meeting of ministers, held in Podgorica, September 18, just a week after American tragedy, that shocked the people all over the world". OPEN LETTER OF MONTENEGRIN PEN CENTER TO JACQUES CHIRAC THE MONTENEGRINS HAVE A RIGHT TO DECIDE PODGORICA- The Montenegrin Pen Center sent yesterday a letter to President of the Republic of France Jacques Chirac, in which it pointed out that Montenegrin writers were astonished with his attempt to deny Montenegrin's right of self-determination granted to all other ex-Yugoslav republics. Pressurizing Montenegro to give up from intention to renew its state, represent an attack on the dignity of all Montenegrins who as any other nation have the right to decide about their interests and state-legal status, no matter whether someone like it or not. This pressure of France has been negatively reflected among minorities in Montenegro (Muslims, Albanians, Croatians) who also want Montenegro to become an independent, multicultural state, which will once for all get out of the strong nationalist influence of Greater Serbia concept. PODGORICA'S CENTER FOR DEMOCRATIC TRANSITION PARLIAMENT OPENED FOR ORDINARY CITIZENS PODGORICA- The Montenegrin Parliament will be opened for citizens, who will have an opportunity to directly put questions to the MP's - Podgorica's Center for Democratic Transition (CTD) announced. First to visit the Montenegrin Parliament will be graduates of high schools from all Montenegrin cities. The Center for Democratic Transition initiated a half-year ago the project "Opened Parliament", with an aim to introduce the public with work of the Montenegrin Assembly and improve citizens' influence on Assembly's decisions. in Montenegrin CRNOGORSKI PREMIJER FILIP VUJANOVIC: SOLANA NIJE VRSIO PRITISAK NA PODGORICU Podgorica - Predsjednik crnogorske Vlade Filip Vujanovic izjavio je juce da Crna Gora nije pristala na nastavak razgovora sa Srbijom zbog navodnog pritiska visokog predstavnika Evropske Unije (EU) Havijera Solane.
