To be fair, in modeling at least, the last 2 Maya releases are way better and have some nice features that Softimage doesn't.
My problem is that I still have to deal with the old crappy versions (Maya 2013, 2012). I don't know how they (clients) can still use this piece of $#!7 ! And like I said in another thread, NEX is a must for 2013 and older versions. If you think about it, thank god a 3rd party like dRaster came in with NEX or Maya would probably still be as crappy as 2013 and older versions.
