Anto, I'm no more a Houdini supporter than any other customer. Sure I feel it's the best chance we have of a single DCC replacement to Softimage but rigging is one of the areas where Houdini has the furthest to go. And to be frank and don't think it will ever offer the completeness of Soft.
We're lucky that Michael Goldfarb takes the time to listen to our frustrations ref rigging in Houdini and Discord is the place that he's most likely to to be able to engage in direct conversation. I don't see how that's a problem. As for 'he's just a TD'. It's great that SideFX actively recruit experienced industry TD's, developers working solus, aren't always the best folk for designing workflows. Looking at Michaels CV, I'd say he adds a lot, particularly with regards to workflow: - https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.linkedin.com_in_michael-2Dgoldfarb-2D65731a1_&d=DwIFaQ&c=76Q6Tcqc-t2x0ciWn7KFdCiqt6IQ7a_IF9uzNzd_2pA&r=GmX_32eCLYPFLJ529RohsPjjNVwo9P0jVMsrMw7PFsA&m=Ecr93eCo7MrlyCusiiIWBLoT5CPnnmx95VN9DoSP2OU&s=6pHBptllLJgvGB9uOpih7CFEkTYm5yLdZ4S8vcl_3mg&e= On 6 November 2017 at 10:57, Anto Matkovic <[email protected]> wrote: > That would be great.
