Well it would seem that there is no engineered solution to this at the time. Perhaps Roland will pursue his testing.

In my opinion, based on the situation described, it is not a concealed space, therefore sprinklers may not be omitted above the ceiling, and I would not entertain any offers to make a contrary judgement."
