Hi :
Looks like the Voodoo-to-Icarus idea of mine was a dead
end . Might be possible but looks like a lot of work to do
since the Voodoo data must be multiplied by factors and
same with CAHV etc .
Anyway , here's a RS3D file using the Voodoo tractor
images (that install with the program) but have been run
through Icarus and then imported into RS3D .
http://studiodynamics.net/list/tractor-cameramatch.zip
1.7 MB's and includes the images (in jpeg format for
net usage) . Place the jpegs in your texture folder or
redirect RS3D (you may get error messages) .
The scene is large and uses a high zoom camera so a
trick is to just drop the whole root into the viewport
if you are having trouble navigating . Be sure to drop
the Icarus camera into the viewport to see the actual
tracking results . There is an overhead camera for
working on the scene .
Also , use the image object backdrop for best per-
formance by selecting wireframe mode , and turn that
off (when working on the scene) by using OpenGL mode.
To get a feel for the scene , drop the Icarus camera
into the viewport , then drop the root into the viewport.
Now move around with your mouse to see the entire scene
from an angle . Note the placement of the Backdrop image
and the camera's distance from the 'Feature' datapoints.
A very simple test animation is here and is included
with the zip file . Load it into Xnview (.com) to view
it in slow motion or frame by frame .
