Raytrace render just the wireframe with very high AA and then the objects (glass, smoke etc) the do a composite in an After Effects type program , varying the amount fade for each render to get the look you wanted . We could do a similiar thing now by setting the 0,0,0 back- ground as transparent in After Effects and combining the 2 images , but it's not as nice as rendering a wireframe with a nice alpha channel for compositing . We could also do a post processing effect if the controls were there , but at the moment the "Combine 2 Images" is just for images on disk . It _could_ be modified so that it would combine an image on disk with the current render and even offer an alpha channel colour . I guess it would take very little coding to create a VSL material that would make the object completely transparent (or partially visible) and then render that scene with outlines , which would be fine for my needs , but the out- lines do not seem to be controlled by the AA settings and do not look very good for printing or other professional outputs . Maybe an advanced VSL material is possible . studio
