Only checking those headers? If that true, isn't it mean a spammer can
just add those headers and get any spam through to the mailing list?
Spammers can get things onto the list in a number of ways: by
subscribing, by spoofing a subscriber's address, undoubtedly others. We
do see spam from time to time, fortunately not often.
