Mine work fine closed loop with Discover AES only. I doubt there is much
support on other batteries as they all use XW pro which uses the RS 485
protocol to close the loop with different battery brands.
To get it going open loop you would use a custom battery menu and
probably need an

You should tell Schneider this! I have been for a year now. There was
not enough SCP memory for new XWP functions and a component became
unavailable.
The Connext Home and Facility are definitely not for the non savvy as
you say. They are easy for most to install and the non savvy can have
5 years old on 3 strings, it might not matter to mix, better get ready
for a new bank.
I have never used more than 1 string for my clients and get closer to 10
years life, so maybe there is better advice out there.
Good Luck!

It will be some work to make this work right for you! The XWP is based
on Soc and or V. If you use the Schneider bat mon, it will be a settings
guess for Soc. You will have to do this yearly to compare BMS Soc to the
input you set for the bat mon. I doubt you will get this to work closed

Depends on how close and how strong the pulse or strike is. In Mil
satellites, the same thing. You can harden but are dreaming if you think
your electronics can really survive it. Even harder to protect
electronics that are powered on. The KH series spy sats I saw schematics
for had
Agree Will and adding that for generator users closed loop will save 25%
or more on fuel.
I know alot of you folks do not use Schneider but it is so easy to close
loop for offgrid. You just plug Xanbus into one battery and the whole
group gets closed loop charged and discharged by XW and
The LG Prime is an NMC chemistry Lithium I believe. It probably needs as
much protection as possible from thermal runaway as it is a definitely
not as safe as LFP Lithium. I hope I am wrong but that is what I know
at this time.
The first system I saw that met UL9540 was the pairing of

There is not anything I know of that will out surge XW pro 6948
There is not anything I know of that will out surge XW pro 6948. A great
monitoring platform and much better support/installer training in the
last 18 months. Perfect for a shop with unknown peak surges.

My comment would be in a closed loop battery power system the BMS is in
charge and feeds back into faults and warnings about the battery,
Inverter/charger, and other devices. Open loop does not integrate all of
the devices. Closed loop is all we should be using these days, in my
opinion!
It can be done but it is not an easy job. You are 2 generations of XW
back.
XW+ was good at this and XW pro was designed for this
along with being able to charge based on Soc (from the BMS) as well as
voltage.
Is this an insured home? You might need a permit as this has to be
legal for
Cheers to all ! I had this problem for years but my Canadian friends
finally listened to me/others and built a smart 200A panel for my
clients.
Not going to help your situation Dana but an FYI.
