  Seriously, what is the problem with our nation state being able to crack 
  encrypted data?  (Again presuming they have our best interests at heart and 
  can be trusted, this is a theoretical discussion).  What would I ever 
  encrypt that I would have a problem with the NSA seeing?  I cannot imagine 
  needing strong encryption other than to keep folks out of my network and 
  bank account.

  wants Apple to decrypt and send over the data. Nothing more. No
