It may be news to others, but I just heard he passed away last month. Brom the BMWCCA Tidewater chapter board: > We lost one of our valued club members on May 29. Also, the light hasn't come on to alert me just yet. Should I wait on the light or have this checked? BMW told me a couple of months ago that I need brakes. They asked if I would like to just wait on the light or do it then. I stated wait on the light. Do you think it might be more costly to wait on the light? I was taking it in to see just what the extent is. Thanks very much in advance. I don't know anything about Just Brakes so I can't recommend or not recommend them. BMW brake fluid should be flushed every 2 years. Make sure that is done, as well as the use of high quality parts. The "normal" auto repair market is full of cheap junk parts that should be kept far away from most higher quality cars such as a BMW. If you think you might need them, I would suggest getting them done sooner than later. Changing brake pads is a relatively easy job. If you have some tools you might want to look at tackling the job yourself. I'm sure there are right ups on the 'net. Either way, you should probably get them done. I assume from the Lone Star chapter you are in the CCA now? If so, ask the locals who they trust. It surely isnt Just Brakes?? You get what you pay for when it comes to cheap brake jobs etc. They use very inexpensive brake pads, minimum experience techs etc. If you want really cheap brakes on your car, then go right ahead. If you want it to perform the way BMW built it, find a local trusted shop and have them do the brakes. I had someone, but my computer crashed, and I lost all my information. Thanks very much in advance. I had even called someone, but can't remember who they were as they were in my favorites. Thanks for any help anyone could give.
