The fronts actually produce a large amount of dust and it is tough to wash the wheels after a rain. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Not sure why pads touted as low dust are very dusty, but I can comment on why I think the front's dust more. The front's always dust more than rears, and likely for two reasons. First off, the rotor is larger, and secondly, and more importantly, the front brake pads work harder than the rears. When you hit the brakes, the vehicle weight shifts forward, stressing these brakes. Alex > Recently put Mintex red box brakes on the wife's X5. Fronts dust like a > pig > (rears are OK). Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have them on my M5. They dust but it is low quantity and easy to clean. The wifemobile has Akebono pads which perform better than Repco Deluxe and dust about the same (nearly dustless). Front brakes brake twice as hard as rear brakes, and that is on a BMW. FWD front brakes brake 4x more than rears. Gary Derian > Kevin, > > I experienced the same thing when installing them on my 635. Probably twice what it was before they burned out. The bulbs shown on this page are the same type that I pulled out of mine. http://www.bmwe34.net/e34main/maintenance/electrical/panel_lights.htm The dealer provided me new(er) bulbs that are manufactured from VDO (different manufacturer). Wondering if anyone has experienced this same thing and what they did as a result.
