I just had a custom exhaust fabbed & they damaged one of my stock CATs, so we're thinking of installing some aftermarket units in their place. I'm looking for something that flows well & can still pass the sniff test without burning out in a year of track use. -- Roger ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Sep 2007 10:48:40 -0400 From: "Karl Rentler" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "BMW CR List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "E30 Gruppe" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "UUC List" <[email protected]>, "Private BMW Parts" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: M20 Supersprint Headers FS Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have a used SuperSprint header with 02 sensor bung from a 325i motor FS. At 101k miles, I figure it would be a good time to change the regulator/brush assembly , but it appears from the one picture that I can find and the confusing entry in the Bentley that the Valeo part may not have contacts as would the Bosch regulator. Is this true? Are the brushes a separate item which dictates a new alternator? -Kevin ---------------------------------------------------------------- This e-mail communication is confidential and is intended only for the individual(s) or entity named above and others who have been specifically authorized to receive it. I just upgraded because I had access to the right dead E32 at the right time & I like doing this sort of thing. Had done the rear brakes to E34 M5 vented rears, now its a job well done. The car is up to E34 (US) 540I / E32 750I brakes, which was the donor vehicle for the calipers (which were rebuilt). As a result, I have a complete set of E34 front calipers with the mounting parts, bolts and carriers for sale. There was NOTHING wrong with them, car didnt pull or make funny noises during braking They will fit ALL North American version E34 525, 530 & 535 cars, sedan or touring. They will NOT fit the E34 540 or M5. You can also use them for a modest upgrade for the E28, using E34 disc brakes (this is a nice plug & play fit) but you will need 15 wheels. If you want a pair of good, no nonsense used front calipers (complete set only). Id be happy with $65 for the pair plus shipping. I can get them in a USPS flat rate box for a modest $9 for shipping (a great deal on dense items like brake calipers). Please contact me off digest. They are the same caliper as the M3, sans ///M logo. Is there anywhere else to purchase this stuff? Seems a little silly to pay $185 for what is basically an old 'members only' jacket with a roundel stuck on it.
