I know that Ireland makes a couple of kits using PBR calipers. They say they take Mustang Cobra pads, but someone also told me they were compatible with C4 calipers (the same?). Korman makes a kit as well. In fact, they look like they might be the same as Ireland's. UUC has a Wilwood kit in process, but no date. Anybody else out there? Thanks, Stan ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 15:35:35 -0400 From: "Rob Levinson * UUC Motorwerks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Subject: Re: E30 318/325 BBK Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Funny you should ask... we're within a week of releasing the kit. Everything's done, just waiting for rotors in quantity from Wilwood. We're offering it in your choice of two rotor sizes, 11.75" (will fit under 15" wheels), and 12.19" rotors (16" or larger wheels required). Pricing is below $900 complete with calipers, pads, 2-piece rotors, SS lines for all four wheels, all brackets and hardware. - Rob Levinson UUC Motorwerks * 908-874-9092 * http://www.uucmotorwerks.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stan Jackson Jr." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [UUC] E30 318/325 BBK > What is available these days for big brake kits for the E30 318/325? > UUC has a Wilwood kit in process, > Stan ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 15:19:58 -0400 From: "Stan Jackson Jr." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Subject: Master Cylinders - Larger Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Does anyone know the size of the M-Coupe master cylinder? I'm familiar with using the M5/750iL 25mm master cylinder as a larger upgrade. But I saw someone use an M-Coupe unit and I'm curious as to how it compares or what advantages it has. When installed, offset CAB's give you more caster? And this improves turn-in at the expense of striaght line stability? Other effects? Also improves camber gain in sharp turns and lenghtens the wheelbase a smidge. I have a 1995 540i and replaced my UPPER (thrust) arms with Lemforder arm with m5 bushings thinking it would solve my front end shimmy. Well, it didn't. Symptoms are as follows: 55 mph shake. Goes away by 60mph Can hardly feel the shake thru the brake pedal (I don't think it's warped rotors) Sometimes it shakes when braking (sometimes violently!). If I turn the wheel to one side, it stops. Lower Control arms? Tie rods? Thoughts? Worn tires can also compound the problem. The only way to cure the E34/E28 front end is to do all the suspension bits at the same time. - Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: dinty44 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Subject: [UUC] e34 - violent shimmy Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 14:36:26 -0700 (PDT) > All, > > I'm pulling my hair out.
