The 3232 doesn't have a quick release, but it works very well with an Arca-Swiss style clamp, such as those made by Kirk, Really Right Stuff, and others (RRS long have recommended it)--this may have been what was meant. If you use this setup with a lens that doesn't have a tripod collar, an A-S compatible "L" bracket is a very handy addition.
