Since with a simple swivel head you can't tilt the camera, you will have to use the monopod mostly straight up and down vertically. Whereas for good support you need to the get leg out front and of course then you have to tilt the camera forward so to get it level or whereever you're shooting. I really like my 3229 too. I can easily swivel by simply rotating my pod. I just mention this because many people aren't aware of proper monopod postioning until they actuallya get one, and then it's too late to change their head purchase.
