I quite like "Tao" - but some (perhaps not on this list) would no doubt find that obfuscatory.

The trouble with "Tao" is that it has its "sacred" book, so people will look there for "the real meaning" of Tao. And also there is a Taoist religion which is kind of polytheistic:

Otherwise an invented word would do, except that then John Clark will object that you are making up words.

It seems to me that aperion fits perfectly - and it's Greek, which Bruno likes, even though it's pre-Socratic.
