The main recourse is to open a dispute via the Dispute Console (in My.eBay).
How did you pay for the auction? The actual path taken, and the
number of remedies available, depends on how you paid for the item in
the first place.
Please provide the auction number either here or via private email,
so I can look it up and check things out.
Seems like there should be a way to warn others
without getting penalized with negative feedback oneself.
After the issue is resolved, give appropriate feedback. Don't be
afraid to give a neg and neut. Retaliatory feedback, after a dispute
is handled by eBay[*], can sometimes be removed. If not, then you
can post an explanitory reply.
[*] Even though disputes are initiated via my.eBay, they're actually
all handled by Paypal - even if a Paypal payment was not involved.
eBay owns Paypal, and they consolidated all their dispute services
there last year.
