Hi there,
Hope you enjoyed the long weekend!!!! I dont know about you but the alarm clock was a bit of a shock to the system this morning. But what a weekend! Well done of course to Hull FC. Need I say more. I saw some sights in Hull on Saturday evening and I bet there were some headaches and lost voices on Sunday. I know there were loads of other things going on as well - whatever you did then I hope you enjoyed. I had a drive up to Flamborough, it's one of my favourite spots - just so beautiful. Well done to the RNLI for their fund raising day yesterday - I am sure it went very well. I hope it's not too long before I can get up to the coast again although that was the last bank holiday of the year - so someone has just said in the office!!!! TONIGHT AT 6 3O ============== Well it's back to usual today and I hope you will be able to join me this evening. I shall have all the day's news as ever - plus tonight a star from the TV programme Casualty and the second and final six in our name change campaign. The second final six will be voted on to get just two names again, and then next Monday will be the final vote and we shall know the outcome. It's been great fun doing the whole thing and I have to say thanks to everyone who has kept the whole thing working by voting. There have been thousands of votes and this week I will be casting my vote - as I am allowed one - I think! ( I'll have to ask the boss ). So please join me for the second and final 6 names that have made it through. Is your favourite there? Well be with me at 6.3O to find out. PHONE BILLS =========== I got on to the subject of mobile phone will and texting last week. I have had a lot of e-mails on this one. I had a note from Dick in Scunthorpe who was saying that Sarah ( who I told you about last week) at £155 per month for her text bill, he reckons would be sending 1550 texts a month or about 50 every day. In a normal working day of 8 hours this would be one every ten minutes!!!!! I also had a note from James who told me that his phone bill for one month this year was wait for it .£596.64. He goes on to say it just goes to show that you shouldnt call home very often while on holiday in Egypt. SURVEYS WE LIKE =============== You know me - always fascinated by the latest surveys! But here is one that might actually be useful. Scientists have come up with a formula which predicts just how badly you'll be affected by the post-holiday blues. The maths is a bit complicated for my liking but it involves scoring things like how happy you are in your job, what sorts of holidays you like and how easily you can relax. Mind you - if you want to avoid the post holiday blues there's a simple solution - have a permanent holiday! Sounds good to me! Also on the subject of surveys, it's being reported that women on average earn 27 per cent less than their male colleagues - could be a difficult day! RADIO HUMBERSIDE ================ If you're in the Radio Humberside area. I do hope you have been listening today because they have a great new sound. The radio station has a brand new and fabulously produced jingle package. If you have not heard them yet then tune in and have a listen. They are great, of course Andy Comfort sounds just the same but then you can't have everything (I told you that I would get him back). GET IN TOUCH ============ Dont forget, if you want to write to me direct then let me give you my own personal e-mail which will come straight to me its [EMAIL PROTECTED] Any thing you think that would make a story for Look North, then let me know and of course keep the problems coming in for Leave it to Levy. I look forward to hearing from you. GUESTS ======= I have had some great suggestions for guests to have on the show. We are working on these and hope they will appear very soon. Keep the ideas coming in please. Thanks for reading. I had better get on. Join me at 6 30.
